Crochet - Granny Square Blanket

Over in this post from October last year, I mentioned that it was my eventual goal to make my very own crocheted granny square blanket. After many, many hours sat in my armchair crocheting away, I finally have a completed blanket.

My aim was not to spend any money on new yarn, only using what I already had. Which I have done, and in the process I have actually been able to use up several balls of yarn. I found this satisfying because it was nice to be using it for something I will treasure for years to come, opposed to being sat in a basket unused and ignored.
