Larry the Lion

I have recently taken another crack at crochet, after having made my granny square blanket, I took a break from crochet but felt that it was about time I was a little more adventurous with the technique. I found this lion crochet whilst browsing the internet for 'amigurumi' patterns, and I immediately decided that this was my goal.

To begin with I found a tutorial on youtube on how to knit a sphere to ensure I could understand the technique and what was written in the pattern.

I was surprised by quite how easy this was to do, therefore decided to go straight on to crocheting the lion. Again I was surprised at the ease of it, made easier due to the video tutorial that went alongside it, covering the tricker parts of the pattern, such as sewing on the limbs and creating the mane.

Now, I'd like to introduce you to...Larry the Lion!
