Cushions

Below, I have included photographs of some of the cushions made for my table at the christmas fair, the designs on the cushions were created using appliqué, and some were my own designs and others, designs I sourced that I felt would appeal to the consumer.

Cushions with appliqué designs

For my sister's birthday, I made her a quilt, and from the leftover fabric, I created a personalised cushion to match. I have made many patchwork cushions over the past few years, and it's a style that I enjoy making due to the more regimented format. The stitching for the name of this cushion was done using the free motion sewing setting on my sewing machine, I find this setting invaluable when it comes to sewing free shapes, as its illuminates the need to do so by hand, therefore speeding up the whole process.
