Coastal Signs

I have recently been inspired by signage that one would come across when by the coast. To interpret these, I have created hand embroidery pieces but instead of stitching into paper as has become the norm for me, I have stitched into fabric. I feel as though I don't have so much control over the outcome because of the way the fabric moves and distorts whilst stitching, this has given the imagery a handmade finish, differing to my usual finish when stitching into paper.
