Craft-a-Doodle

The book 'Craft-a-Doodle' by Jenny Doh popped up on the recommended books section on amazon a few months ago, generally I ignore these suggestions as they can be a little out of left field, but I was intrigued by this book so had to check it out.
'Craft-a-Doodle' has 75 doodle based exercises to help fuel ideas for further drawing. I always tend to get stuck in a rut every so often when it comes to drawing, mainly because I'm not really a huge fan of drawing and don't particularly enjoy the process. Therefore I felt  this book would enable me to draw without having to think about the end result, making the activity more enjoyable.
The exercises within the book are contributed by 18 different artists which means that there are a variety of styles which individuals can relate to. There are detailed instructions with each doodle, which in a way, defeats the point of a 'doodle', however, once one is fluent with these simple techniques explained alongside each image it will enable one to create further imagery from their own imagination.
I tried out a variety of doodles following the steps in the book, over just one page, and I will be sure to continue drawing and doodling to improve on my attempts shown here.

Craft-a-Doodle by Jenny Doh is available here.

Thanks for reading.
