More Cross Stitch and Some Latch Hook

A technique that seems to be taking over this blog is that of cross stitch, this isn't about to change any time soon! It was one of the first textile techniques I fell in love with at the age of around 5, and coming up for 20 years later it's still something I do to fill my time.
This cross stitch is by The Historical Sampler Company, entitled 'What a Hoot' and 37cm by 23cm in size. I was drawn to the traditional colour and style of the piece, with the folk art elements seen in the border.

The second part of this post is a latch hook piece I have done recently. I have done latch hook in the past, but probably not for about 10 years so wanted to give it another go. I purchased this latch hook cushion kit, and the photos below show how I got on. I found the technique as easy as I remember it, however I still prefer cross stitch!

Thanks for reading.
