Gerry the Giraffe

Another crocheted creature! This time a giraffe. The pattern can be found here, and I cam across this through the 'Ravelry' website, which, alongside  Pinterest and various books I have bought over th years have proved invaluable when it comes to finding new projects and learning new crochet techniques.

I chose to make this giraffe in more subtle colours because it was a present for a friend and I didn't want it to be too garish. I added poly pellets to the end of each foot and the bottom of the body to give some weight, which has enabled Gerry to sit nicely for his photographs.
